About the work: the pastel paintings are painted on acid free Wallis paper, using the best pastels..My oils are done on a gesso masonite panel, using the finest oils, and my gourds are done using inks, leather dyes, and acrylic paints, also pyrographed and sealed, and a orgininal sculpture added to the lid of each piece using apoxy sculpt.  The pastel paintings are framed under conservation glass or museum glass and done by a professional framer.  My bronzes are sculpt using a clay and wax mixture and cast at the foundry using the lost wax method...

My style of pastel contains a lot of fine detail, a difficult accomplishment in this media.

          About the Artist 

I am a professional,  international artist working in the great Northwest .  I do several juried fine art shows throughout the region, going as far south as Vail, Co. and Jackson Hole, Wy.  My Landscapes are mostly done plein air with a limited time in the studio. 

I have my bronzes cast at the Joseph Foundry in Joseph, Oregon.

Like most artist I have won several awards and have had my share of recognition over the years, so I will not bore you with listing all my accomplishments...

I have taught art at the adult level doing a few 3 day seminars, and still enjoy doing so when time allows.

I have studied art for years and taken classes from some of the best, notably, James Spurlock of Texas...a wonderful artist, teacher and friend.

  I have always felt privilege to do what I love and call it work !
